The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, has warned corps members not to embark on night journey as they go back to meet their families.
The 2022 Batch ‘C’ Stream One Corps Members will be passing out on 12th October, 2023.
This warning was contained in a statement by the Director, Press and Public Relations of NYSC, Mr. Eddy Megwa.
According to the statement, the scheme has mapped-out a week-long activity for the out-going Corps members to include; job creation and employment opportunities after service, which would be handled by experienced officers from NYSC and National Directorate of Employment (NDE).Brigadier General Ahmed said that the distribution of Certificates of National Service would be done at the Local Government basis on Thursday 12th October, 2023.

The DG commended their invaluable contributions to national development especially their performances during the 2023 general elections, likewise their interventions in the health, education, rural development and other sectors of the economy.
General Ahmed also advised the Corps Members to uphold the ideals of patriotism, diligence, loyalty, and self-empowerment they learnt during their year of national service.
