NYSC Director General Charts Vision for 2025 Progress

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, has called on corps members and staff to renew their commitment to national unity and development as the organization embarks on its 2025 goals.

In his New Year message, Brigadier General Ahmed reflected on the achievements of 2024, commending the resilience and dedication of NYSC members and staff. He remarked, “I want to sincerely appreciate your resilience and unwavering commitment to duty at your various locations, which culminated in the unprecedented successes recorded in 2024.”

Looking forward, he expressed optimism for even greater accomplishments in 2025, stating, “We are optimistic that this year will witness greater achievements as we continue to expand the frontiers of development across critical sectors of our national economy.”

The Director General urged corps members and staff to intensify their efforts, emphasizing, “I encourage everyone to step up their efforts for the noble assignments ahead, as we collectively sustain the vigorous implementation of the Scheme’s mandate to foster national unity, integration, and development.”

He reaffirmed his commitment to the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program, pledging to engage stakeholders to enhance resources and opportunities for corps members. “I reiterate my commitment to collaborating with relevant stakeholders to provide more facilities and opportunities for corps empowerment through the SAED programmes,” he said. He also encouraged corps members to actively participate, adding, “I urge all Corps Members to take full advantage of these opportunities for self-development.”

The Director General expressed gratitude to collaborating agencies and stakeholders for their continued support, noting, “I deeply appreciate our collaborating agencies and stakeholders for their invaluable contributions and assure them of enhanced engagements in the New Year.”

In closing, Brigadier General Ahmed assured Nigerians of the Scheme’s continued commitment to service and progress, stating, “The NYSC Management will build on its achievements to ensure the Scheme delivers on its responsibilities to Nigerians as we anticipate a rewarding and prosperous 2025.”
