The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has presented a certificate of return to its gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nwoga Onyekachi, ahead of the November off-season gubernatorial election in Imo State, South-east Nigeria.
The ADP National Chairman Mr. Yabagi Sani said that the primary election in which Dr. Onyekachi emerged winner was conducted according to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) guidelines.
Mr. Sani also said that the primary election was “orderly, peaceful and successful”.
He described Dr. Onyekachi as “a distinguished Nigerian, imbued with many parts: a political colossus and a humanitarian medical practitioner who is knowledgeable and willing to reengineer Imo State.”
In his acceptance speech the ADP’s gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nwoga Onyekachi, said he will restore peace to the State, if elected governor in Imo.
The national leadership of the party assured that “through the instrumentality of Dr. Nwoga, the ADP will dislodge the merciless and highhanded administration of the APC in Imo State,” adding that “Nwoga is the brain that Imo State needs now.”
