Ohaneze Ndigbo Felicitates Ebonyi LGA Chairmen

The Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Ebonyi chapter, has felicitatated with the Chairmen of Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Ebonyi as they mark one year in office on Friday.

The state President of the Pan Igbo Socio-cultural organisation, Dr Peter Mbam, gave this indication in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen.

People-Oriented Projects

Mbam, in the statement, said that the occasion was spiced with Governor Francis Nwifuru’s repositioning of the councils with more people-oriented projects.

“Our interactions with you during sensitisation visits in your various councils convinced us of your abilities to do more for the people.

“We firmly believe that you would continue collaborating with the governor to deliver democratic dividends to the people.

“This collaboration will ensure everlasting peace, promote primary healthcare, boost education and provide needed assistance to rural farmers across the state,” the statement read.

The organisation gave assurance of its readiness to sustain the partnership on reviving the state and Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.

“This is aimed at restoring our lost values.

“We wish you more proactive years of service,” the statement read.

The chairmen, all of the All Progressives Congress (APC), were sworn-in by former Gov. David Umahi, on Sept. 1, 2022.
