Oil Exploration to Resume in Nasarawa State

The Nasarawa State government has said that the oil Exploration Activities in Ebenya, Obi Local government Area will resume soon.

Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Affairs, Mr. Peter Ahemba said this during a press conference on the activities of the state government in Lafia, the state capital.

According to the SA, “the issue of oil exploration, as you know, is beyond the state”.

“It’s actually the federal government that has the power to direct and redirect. But in this case, there were some technical hitches which recently were resolved. So, as we speak, very soon, work will resume”.

He further said the technical hitches encountered at the beginning of the Ebenya oil well exploration have been resolved following the intervention of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
