Ondo Election: Speaker Abbas, Deputy Congratulate Governor Aiyedatiwa

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Mr. Abbas Tajudeen and the Deputy Speaker Mr. Benjamin Kalu, have congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on his victory in the Ondo State governorship election held on Saturday.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) on Sunday, declared Governor Aiyedaiwa, candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), winner of the poll.
The House leadership noted that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s landslide victory at the Ondo poll has further confirmed the APC’s popularity.
They also noted that the APC has continued to wax stronger under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the people of Ondo State have renewed their hope with their votes for Governor Aiyedatiwa.
They praised the people of Ondo State for voting en masse for APC and commended INEC for conducting credible polls.
He noted that Aiyedatiwa’s win in all 18 local government areas demonstrates APC’s good governance in Ondo and beyond.
They expressed satisfaction with APC’s growing presence and consolidation of power in southern Nigeria.
They also acknowledged the security agencies and stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful election. They also urged Aiyedatiwa to maintain good governance in the state.
Mr. Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer, won with 366,781 votes, defeating Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who secured 117,845 votes.
