Ondo State Governor Flags Off Distribution of Agricultural Input
Ondo state Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has flagged off the distribution of agricultural inputs for this year’s farming season to usher in bountiful harvest for all farmers in Ondo state.
The 2024 flag off ceremony that took place in Akure, Ondo state capital, exposed farmers to opportunities like distribution of Cocoa and shade tree seedlings farmers at subsidized rate.
Governor Aiyedatiwa said his administration would continue to partner and encourage investors to support farmers with inputs and facilities during this planting season.
Ondo Governor was represented by his deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami, he reiterated his government’s commitment to rehabilitation of rural access roads and also continue to create enabling environment for farmers in the state.
The Governor warned land grabbers against encroaching forest reserves in the state.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. Olayato Aribo applauded Governor Aiyedatiwa for his agricultural programmes geared towards protecting and equipping farmers.
