One Year Anniversary: Kogi Governor Praised for Transformative Leadership

The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Aliyu Umar Yusuf, has praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s outstanding achievements and transformative leadership during his first year in office.
While commending his one achievements in office, the Speaker described him as the ideal leader for the State.
He applauded his unprecedented development through his commitment, humility, and dedication to service.
According to the Speaker, Governor Ododo has made significant strides in various areas, including infrastructural development, completion of zone eight to Crusher Road and creation of different beautification edifices.
He also noted the governor’s upgrade of the State’s security architecture in collaboration with federal agencies.
The Speaker also commended Governor Ododo for promoting a cordial and mutually respectful relationship between the Executive and Legislative arms.
He noted that the state legislature enjoys absolute autonomy today.
He said “Autonomy is something we have clamored for a long time. Many States of the country only wish they enjoyed the level of autonomy that we enjoy in the State. I thank God for the governor for encouraging and ensuring that the autonomy works”.
The Speaker also addressed concerns about the legislature being a “rubber stamp” of the Executive.
He emphasized that collaboration between the arms of government is essential for development.
He however urged the people of Kogi State to be patient and to cooperate with their leaders in facilitating development in all areas of the State.
