Musk, a co-founder of OpenAI, has raised concerns about the company’s transition to a for-profit model, arguing that it deviates from its original mission to develop artificial general intelligence (AGI) for the benefit of humanity.
In response to the board’s decision, Musk’s lawyer, Marc Toberoff, claimed that OpenAI’s actions prioritise enriching certain board members over the organisation’s charitable objectives.
This development intensifies the ongoing dispute between Musk and OpenAI’s leadership regarding the company’s direction and governance.
