According to Mr. Falalu Bello, the Party has selected its best candidates that would offer good leadership to Nigerians for positive change come 2023, stressing that the People’s Redemption Party will win elections in a free and fair contest.

“We are ready to offer leadership at all levels and we can compete with all parties to give the nation a new lease of life with our candidates, most of whom we are confident will win in a free and fair election,” he said

Mr Bello further explained that the party was perceived to be a northern party but fielding a Yoruba presidential candidate in the person of (Kola Abiola) and is by choice, not an imposition.

“Kolawole Abiola scored more votes than all other presidential aspirants and he won across the 36 States and the FCT. Kola is not a Yoruba candidate but a national candidate and a Nigerian candidate”

“In the 2023 general elections, our Party is going to contest gubernatorial elections in 22 States as well as the Presidential position,” he added.

He congratulated the Party flag-bearers saying that the Party’s teaming supporters are waiting to receive and support them and to lead effective campaigns to deliver their manifesto ahead of the general election.

Meanwhile, the PRP’s Presidential Candidate Kolawole Abiola has said that PRP’s victory would be synonymous with that of his deceased father on June 12, 1993.

He disclosed that PRP will bring change to Nigerians and offer youths opportunities for economic development.

He noted that it would be 30 years in 2023 since his late father won the presidential election, saying there is going to be a repeat in 2023.

“The forthcoming general election reminds me of 1993. A lot of people came out for the first time to vote because of MKO. We are going to have a repeat of that in 2023”.

“If we can win it then, we should win it now,’’ he said.

Mr Abiola appealed to Nigerian youths to regard PRP as the vehicle of change.

“We shall make sure that at the next election, PRP has the highest voter turnout, by this, we will make your voices and number count,’’ he added.

He also called on the party’s governorship candidates to ensure that youths obtained their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in their various States.

According to him, the People’s Redemption Party is the only party that doesn’t have any encumbrances.

“We will use that to build the future of Nigeria, We are a national party. To everybody’s surprise, we had 3,625 delegates at the primary elections”

“We are present in every local government area. We have 22 candidates for governorship elections and we have more than 500 candidates vying for other different offices.

“In the history of the PRP, this is the largest so far till date,’’ he said.

On his part, the PRP’s gubernatorial candidate in Cross River, Mr Usani, urged the electorate to “assess who they want and vote for that person irrespective of party.
