Three students from the Hope of Survival orphanage home, Abuja have been given scholarship by the Minister of Transportation’s Aide, Dr. Israel Ibeleme.
He said the gesture was part of the activities to mark his birthday on January 7, 2022.
Dr Ibeleme, who is also the Chief Executive of the Israel Ibeleme foundation, said there was no better way to celebrate his birthday than to share and reach out to the less privileged in the society.
He said; “I have been doing this for 14 years now and I have reason to regret celebrating with the less privileged. This year, I am going to give scholarship to three students from the Hope Survival orphanage home. This is in addition to other food items we have brought here today.
“I feel indebted to God to give back to the society because I was once in similar situation. I also pledge to continue assisting this orphanage in any little way I can.”
He called on Nigerians to cultivate the habit of giving to less privileged in the society.
Dr Ibelem further urged Nigerians to be focused on what they do, saying “ we must pay so much attention in our daily activities and our commitment to God. Serving God pays and perseverance also works for humanity.
“People should key into one thing they can do best and continue with it, through that, they will excel no matter how long it will take to have the breakthrough. I am proud of Nigeria.”
Also speaking, Pastor Tunde Benjamin of The Redeem Christian Church of God, Abuja; who accompanied Dr. Ibeleme to the orphanage home also pledged to give out scholarship to the students of the orphanage.
