Victor Osimhen Rules Out January Exit, Focuses on Winning Trophies with Galatasaray

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has dismissed speculation about a January departure from the Turkish Süper Lig, emphasizing his commitment to winning trophies with the club.

The Nigerian international, on loan from Napoli since September, has been in outstanding form, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists in just 14 appearances across all competitions. His performances have attracted attention from English Premier League giants Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal.

Osimhen’s Transfer Links and Decision

Despite consistent rumors linking him with a move away from Turkey, Osimhen has made his intentions clear. Reports from Fanatik revealed that Manchester United officials had met with Napoli to discuss potential terms, but Galatasaray remain determined to retain the striker until his loan spell concludes.

Nigerian journalist Buchi Laba, close to Osimhen’s entourage, also confirmed the player’s decision on social media platform X. “Victor Osimhen rejected every offer in January 2025 to stay back at Galatasaray for the full season. The plan has always been to win trophies with the team,” Laba wrote.

Galatasaray’s Title Ambitions

Currently leading the Süper Lig table by eight points and edging closer to their 25th league title, Galatasaray are also battling to advance in their Europa League campaign. Osimhen’s commitment to the Yellow-Reds strengthens their quest for domestic and European success.

Future Uncertainty

Former Galatasaray coach Hamza Hamzaoğlu expressed doubts about the club’s ability to secure Osimhen permanently due to financial constraints. This could leave the door open for Premier League sides, particularly Arsenal and Manchester United, to pursue the Super Eagles striker in the summer.

For now, Osimhen’s focus remains on helping Galatasaray achieve their trophy-laden ambitions.
