Osimhen to undergo more tests after head injury

Victor Osimhen will now have to undergo extensive tests after he fainted following a head injury against Atalanta in a Serie A clash Sunday.

The Napoli striker blacked out after he hit the back of his head on the ground after a clash with Romero of Atalanta, he was placed on oxygen in the ambulance but he regained consciousness on the way to hospital.

The initial diagnosis is that he suffered a head trauma.

He spent Sunday night in the hospital in Bergamo.

Osimhen will most likely not be available for selection for his team’s next game Sunday at home against Benevento. Napoli have slipped to seventh on the table.

His short time in Italy following a record summer transfer from French Ligue 1 side Lille has been plagued by misfortunes.

He suffered a shoulder injury on international duty, contacted Coronavirus and the goals have not been flowing as widely expected.
