The unity and growth of Nigeria remains the priority for me even after leaving office and beyond.

Former Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo said this at a reception organised for him by friends and associates in Lagos on Monday.

Professor Osinbajo said that the Nigerian project is a work in progress and as such he remains committed and ready to contribute his quota whenever the need arises.

Speaking through his media aide, Laolu Akande, Professor Osinbajo expressed gratitude to God and the people of Nigeria for seeing him through his eight-year tenure as Vice president.

He said that the former Vice President remains committed to the vision and programmes of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress.

Mr. Akande also assured party supporters that the former Vice President will remain active on the political scene as much as possible.

Associates and friends of the now former Vice president gathered at the Presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, for a short reception in his honour before his departure to his hometown Ikenne, in Ogun State.
