Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has urged Christians in the state to follow the example set by their faith and continue to spread God’s love.
The Governor in a statement by his Spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, on Christmas Day, emphasised the importance of God’s love for mankind.
He noted that Christmas is a time set aside not only to make merry but to give thanks, show love and come together as one big family.
The statement read in part, “This season calls us to reflect on the blessings we have received and to share kindness with those around us.
“It is a time when families gather, communities rejoice, and hope is rekindled. I encourage us all to embrace the spirit of giving, compassion, and unity that Christmas represents.”
The Governor, who lauded the spirit of resilience of Osun people, urged them to keep faith in the ability of government to continuously make things better, urging them to be hopeful and to be their brother’s keeper.
While rejoicing with the people for making it far into the year, Governor Adeleke also prayed that the new year ushers in landmark progress and prosperity for Osun State and Nigeria.
“My prayer for every family this Christmas is peace, joy, and abundant blessings. May the light of Christ guide our steps, may love dwell richly in our homes, and may the coming year bring prosperity to all.
