Osun State PDP Leadership Supports Governor’s Political Ambition

The Peoples Democratic Party leadership caucus in Osun State, Southwest Nigeria has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Ademola Adeleke, pledging their support for any decision he takes on his next political sojourn.

The vote came on the heels of growing speculation of the governor’s likely defection to another political party.

The leaders who praised Adeleke’s leadership and performance in office mandated him to continue consultations with all stakeholders locally and nationally.

The meeting held in Osogbo had leadership of all sections of the party and government in attendance. It involved the National Assembly caucus, the State Assembly caucus, the State Executive Council, the Executive of the party and the Special Advisers’ Forum.

Others include the elders caucus as well as the leadership of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria in the State.

In a communique that followed Adeleke’s deliberations with the leaders, the party resolved to follow the Governor to any party he chooses to go.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; Chairman of Imole Movement, Professor Wale Oladipo; Deputy Senate Minority leader, Lere Oyewumi; Hon Bamidele Salaam.

The South West Vice Chairman of the PDP, Mr Kamoruden Ajisafe was in attendance with Osun State Chairman of the PDP, Sunday Bisi; Speaker Adewale Egbedun; Deputy Speaker, Ireyode Oyewusi; Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Kazeem Akinleye were all there

Others are former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola; Senator Oluwole Alabi, former Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Lasun Yusuf; the state chairman of ALGON, Sarafadeen Awotunde.

The Special Adviser Politics to the state governor, Muniru Raji; SUBEB Chairman, Ibukun Fadipewas there and the state secretary of the party, Bola Ajao.
