The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) says it is a mass movement with a good political structure across the nation and has fielded credible candidates for various national and state elective positions.
The NNPP disclosed this through its National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Agbo Major, in response to a statement made by the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) Mr. Yakubu Dogara of the Northern Leaders’ Consultative Forum.
Dogara had remarked that the NNPP had no structure and did not field enough candidates to win presidential elections.
“Their claim that NNPP has no structure and did not field enough candidates to win presidential election is the height of political hallucinations and absurdity,” said Dr. Major.
The party expressed optimism that the NNPP would win in the next year’s elections by a landslide.
“The Party as a grassroots political party is tipped by majority of Nigerians to win the presidential election.
“The NNPP has formidable structure in thirty-six states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) – Abuja and fielded credible candidates in national and state elections.
“The Party presents the best presidential candidate among all the political presidential aspirants.
“It is obvious that Senator Kwankwaso is the best candidate for president.
“He is on a rescue mission to redirect the ship of the nation from its perilous course and build a new Nigeria which citizens desire and deserve.
“For months, he has been traversing the country, inaugurating NNPP/campaign offices, interfacing with the masses who joyfully welcomed him, assured that he will fulfill his electoral promises as he did in previous positions he held.
“The Dogara’s group represents the old order of retired politicians seeking only relevance in the political arena,” Dr. Major emphasized.
The Party, therefore, called on eligible Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) from December 12th, 2022 to January 22nd, 2023 as directed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to fully participate in the upcoming general elections.
In a statement released by the Party’s National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Agbo Major, the NNPP also urged the INEC to provide a conducive environment for all the political parties and their candidates to discharge their responsibilities during the elections.
