The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator John Akpan, has disowned the controversial Oyo State delegates list brought to the State by the Lawan Gambo-led Congress Committee, suggesting that the crisis rocking the party may be coming to an end.

The party has also apologised to critical stakeholders of the party in the state, at a meeting presided over by the Party Scribe, assuring that the APC was more interested in a united party in Oyo state.

A source at the meeting hinted that there was no mention of the October 30 purported congress, a sign that it was never recognised.

According to the source, it was resolved that seven zonal leaders of the party were to meet with ex-Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala and the two former deputy governors, Moses Leke Adeyemo and Iyiola Oladokun, to verify the Ward and Local Government Congresses lists submitted by the Oyo APC Chairman, Chief Akin Oke, and to come up with an acceptable list for the November 6, State Congress.
