Oyo College of Nursing organises free medical check-up for residents
Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery (OYSCONM), Ibadan, has organised free medical check-up for some residents of the ancient city.

Provost of the college, Dr Gbonjubola Owolabi, said that the drugs given to the beneficiaries were meant to combat whatever health issues they might have been diagnosed with after the check-up.
The free medical check-up and distribution of drugs was part of the activities marking the institution’s 74th Founder’s Day.
The medical check-up was conducted mostly for people residing around the college community, after a health walk, tagged: “Walk for Life” had been held for the staff members of the college to keep fit.
“The free medical tests, such as malaria, blood sugar, high blood pressure and wider test, among others, were carried out for the people, while drugs were also given to them.”
Owolabi advised people to ensure they do medical checkup from time to time, take regular exercise and eat balanced diet so as to keep fit.
“The founder’s day activities began on Friday, with Juma’at prayer and Sunday service, with thanksgiving at the college mosque and chapel respectively.
“Other activities, would include a novelty match, convocation lecture and the grand finale which would be held on Thursday,” Owolabi said.
