The Oyo State Government has unveiled its initiative aimed at revitalizing water schemes across every geo-political zone within the state.
The strategic endeavour is poised to guarantee that all residents of Oyo State gain unfettered access to clean and safe drinking water.
The Executive Chairman of Oyo State Water Corporation, Elias Adeojo, articulated this significant development during his inspection visit to the ongoing rehabilitation efforts at the Ogbomoso Water Supply Scheme.
Adeojo stated that all the schemes of the corporation will be resuscitated to their full capacities to serve the teeming population of the state, highlighting the importance of providing clean water to the residents, as outlined in the agenda of Governor Seyi Makinde’s second term.
He emphasised the need for replacing the main pipes that supply water to Ogbomoso Town, as some of them have become obsolete or damaged due to urbanisation.
