Pathfinder International Nigeria has launched an innovative platform, Women&Co Nigeria, designed to promote women-led solutions at the intersection of health, climate, and economic resilience.

The initiative, aimed at advancing Nigeria’s demographic dividend, builds on Pathfinder’s six-decade legacy of improving the health, rights, and well-being of women, children, and communities across the country.

In a statement issued by the organisation’s Senior Media and Communications Officer, Mr. Bayo Ewuola, Pathfinder said; “the platform reimagines how we find and grow solutions by putting women at the centre of ideas that truly work for their communities.”

He noted that Women&Co Nigeria seeks to help women unlock the capital, partnerships, and influence they need to drive transformative and sustainable change, based on the belief that “when women lead, everyone benefits.”

The Regional Portfolio Director of Pathfinder International, Dr. Amina Aminu Dorayi, said women are already addressing some of society’s toughest challenges in their homes, communities, and workplaces.

Women&Co is about amplifying that ingenuity — putting women in the driver’s seat to design innovations and systems that will shape our nation’s future in health, climate, and development,” she stated.

Dr. Dorayi explained that the Nigerian launch marks the country’s inclusion in a platform first unveiled at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2025, bringing together women leaders from diverse fields including health, entrepreneurship, governance, and finance.

She added that Women&Co Nigeria aligns with the national agenda to prioritise women’s health, equity, and leadership, stressing that by centering women in innovation and development, Nigeria can accelerate progress toward equity, resilience, and prosperity for all.

Pathfinder International has operated in Nigeria for over 60 years, working with government, civil society, and private sector partners to improve health outcomes, strengthen systems, and promote gender equity.

The organisation continues to collaborate with communities to address practices that harm women and girls, empower young people, and strengthen resilience at the intersection of climate and health.
