Peoples Democratic Party has concluded its House of Representatives Primaries in Gombe, Kwami and Funakaye Federal Constituency of Gombe state.
The Primary election was conducted at Malam-Sidi PDP zonal office Gombe State.
While speaking to journalists Bala Magaji, the Chairman PDP elders forum, commended the organizers of the Primary election and called for more support for the party.
The primary election was conducted among three contestants Hon. Yahya Bauchi Toungo, Hon. Shehu Abubakar, and Mohammed Danjuma.
The total votes cast were 79, while announcing the results, the Electoral officer, Hassan Muhammed announced that Yahya Bauchi Toungo scored 47 votes, Shehu Abubakar scored 17 votes, and Muhammed Danjuma scored 14 votes and one invalid vote.
The electoral officer announced that ‘Yahya Bauchi Toungo having scored the highest votes is hereby declared winner this primary elections.’
Responding to the outcome of the elections his opponents accepted the outcome of the elections and pledged support to winner Hon. Yahya Bauchi Toungo, to move PDP forward in Gombe State.
Observers, Party officials, Independent National Electoral Commission officials, were at the venue where the primary elections were conducted.
