Governor Aminu Tambuwal, the Director General of the Presidential Campaign Organisation (PCO), said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s presidential campaign for Atiku Abubakar was going as planned.

In a statement by spokesman Mohammed Bello, Tambuwal dismissed the speculations in social media and elsewhere concerning the postponement of campaign activities.

The governor said the campaign would continue by God’s grace on Monday, October 17, in Kaduna. He, therefore, called for the suspension of “fake news,” adding that people were looking forward to the PDP train in their states.

Tambuwal, who declared that the PDP is the party to beat in 2023, said other parties were jittery about its popularity.

“None of them have composed their campaign councils, not to even talk of starting. They are trying to throw spammer at our works.”

Tambuwal assured Nigerians that the party’s campaign would be issue-based because there are sufficient challenges in our country that needs to be addressed.

“We shall do better for Nigeria; we hope we can convince Nigerians to vote for Abubakar/Okowa come February 2023,” the statement added.
