PDP set to win Nasarawa State’s Gubernatorial Election – DG Campaign Council
Amina Mohammed, Lafia
The Director General Campaign Council for the Nasarawa State People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Labaran Maku, has said that all is set for PDP to win the gubernatorial election in Nasarawa State.
Maku stated this during the inauguration of members of the PDP campaign committee council at the party secretariat in Lafia the state capital.
He urged party supporters to vote for the party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Atiku Abubakar, and all the party’s candidates from the Senate, House of Representatives, and state House of Assembly members in the 2023 general election.
“Since PDP lost power, hunger and starvation began along with Insecurity, unemployment and non payment of civil servants.
“In 2019, Governor Abdullahi Sule didn’t win the election. So, I am calling on the electorates to guide their Permanent Voter Cards because it is their power,” Maku noted
He explained that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), has done nothing to deserve another second term in office.
He also said that all the good projects executed in the state were projects done during PDP when his former boss Senator Abdullahi Adamu the current APC chairman was a Governor of Nasarawa State.
He, however, called on the people of Nasarawa State to vote APC out of the seat in the forthcoming general election.
Earlier, the Nasarawa State PDP chairman Mr. Francis Orogu said, “As campaigns have kickstarted for the 2023 elections in earnest, our party and our candidates will remain committed to honest, clean, and issue-based engagements and turn around the fortunes of the party.”
