Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the July 16 Governorship Election in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has vowed to unseat the incumbent, Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Adeleke made this known in Osogbo while welcoming hundreds of APC decampees, led by Kolapo Alimi, ex-Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs during Rauf Aregbesola’s tenure to the PDP.

The former senator said he would not only unseat Governor Oyetola but would also reclaim his ‘stolen mandate’ and repair the damage done to Osun State by the APC.

He said with the number of decampees streaming daily into the PDP from all parties in the state, victory was sure to come his way in the July 16th election.

His words: “Every day people are coming. There are some more that we cannot even mention here from all over Osun state; because in 2018 they stole the mandate of the people and the people are ready now to fight for their mandate.

So, the stolen mandate by the special grace of God, the people of Osun are going to get it back come July 16th.

“I feel so good, the impression is great. As you can see, this crowd is not a fake crowd. It is not a rented crowd. This is for real. Osun is moving, Osun is talking. They are saying loud and clear they want ‘Imole’ right now”.

The PDP candidate, who noted that the new electoral law would reduce the chances of rigging the election, said his various plans for the state and the popularity of his party would give him victory in the election.

Also speaking, Kolapo Alimi who led the APC decampees to PDP said he was happy to cross over to the Peoples Democratic Party.

He said: “Today, I and my loyalists have moved to PDP and we plead with the people of Osun state that come July 16, they should come out en masse to vote for senator Ademola Adeleke as the governor of the state.

Alimi described the ruling APC in Osun state as a divided house and called on the people of the state to shun the party and vote PDP into power as a replacement.
