PDP wins two Senatorial seats in Adamawa State

The people’s Democratic Party has won two out of three Senatorial seats in Adamawa State, while the ruling All Progressives Party won one.

 

In Adamawa South, the present serving senator, Benus Yauro retained his seat.

 

Also in the North Senatorial of the state, the APC candidate, Ishaku Elisha, who is also the serving senator from that zone returned as the winner in the Senatorial district

 

However, a new winner emerged in the Adamawa Central Senatorial District, where the serving speaker of the State House of Assembly, Aminu Abbas a PDP candidate, emerged the winner, defeating Abdulaziz Yako a former Senator from that zone.

 

Adamawa State is divided into three Senatorial Districts, South North, and Central.
