People Redemption Party (PRP) said they are set to emancipate Nigerians from the crises and numerous problems bedeviling the country,

The party planned to use the Late Mallam Aminu Kano’s ideology of fight against corruption and putting the masses first as bench mark to overcome the challenges.

Gubernatorial aspirant under the platform in Kano state northwestern Nigeria, Mr. Gali Sule made the statement at the headquarters of Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Kano Council during the launching of his aspiration.

He accused major political parties for failing to meet the yearning and aspirations of Nigerians, after over twenty years in power.

“It’s only Malam Aminu Kano’s emancipation ideologies of the masses that match with current situation in Nigeria.’

“That’s why we are set to revive his political ideals in order to re-emancipate Nigerians from the crises and numerous problems bedeviling the country through PRP,” he said.

He said aspiration is based on experiences as a former director in the state civil service, where he witness a number of misappropriation of funds, political miscalculation, misplacement of priority and lots more.

He explained that his understanding of the anomalies gave him the courage to pursue the ambition to get political power in order to put an end to the problems.

“As civil servant, I watched with kin interest what is happening in running the affairs of government and there’s nothing I can do to change the narrative.

“So I took the decision to voluntarily retire from civil service unilaterally, in order to contribute my quota towards building a better society”.

“There’s no way that I will keep aloof, when my senior colleagues in civil service are suffering for years after retirement without gratuity, no favourable atmosphere for businesses to thrive, civil service is in shamble, despite all you are expected to remain silent.

“As a public servant whatever you said that go contrary to the will and aspirations of the administration in power you will be considered as enemy of the institution.

“The only solution remain for me is to seek for political power and address the lingering issues squarely” he added.

Some of the agenda he put forward to pursue when he gets the mandate include; societal reform, address poor governance, improving youths, women and sports, fight drugs abuse, rape and banditry, improve economic activities and agriculture as well as provision of infrastructure.
