People’s Redemption Party to hold National Convention

The People’s Redemption Party (PRP) will hold its National Convention on February 19, 2022, in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.

The Interim National Chairman, Comrade Abdulmajid Yakubu Daudu (CAYD), confirmed the statement adding that the convention will be the zenith of several democratic events the party will embark on in the coming months within the 36 states.

According to the party constitution and the electoral law apparent, the descent of activities will be from ward congresses and state congresses to conclude with the National Convention.

Comrade Idakwo Muhammed Lawal, the Assistant National Publicity Secretary, further established that the convention would involve several representatives from each state and the Federal Capital.

In his assessment, 1000 delegates comprising elected officials of the party serving at each level of government: members of the Board of Trustees, LGs Exco chairpersons and the party veterans are expected at the convention.

The National Women Centre, Garki, Abuja, is scheduled to be the venue for the event.
