2023- Peter Obi promises to unlock Northern Nigeria’s greatest assets

The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has said that he will unlock Northern Nigeria’s greatest assets if elected the next President of Nigeria in 2023.

He disclosed on Monday at the interactive sessions of 2023 presidential candidates organized by the Arewa Joint Committee in Kaduna.

“We want to bring a transformative government. The greatest assets of Nigeria is in the north, the greatest assets of Nigeria is vast uncultivated land in the north but bandits have taken this land. We are going to unlock Nigeria.”

Obi promised if elected, he would bring Nigeria back to life, as all banks would be shareholders in the Bank Of Agriculture, where farmers can directly access loans.

He further assured citizens of eradicating poverty in Nigeria, saying that the country’s crime rate reduces when people are pulled out of poverty.

The former Governor explained that his candidature is for a new Nigeria, noting that he wants Nigerians to be proud of their country.

Obi disclosed he would fight corruption to a standstill, maintaining that fighting corruption is easy when one is not stealing.

“Our past is gone. We are going to face the future. Fighting corruption is easy when one is not stealing. Our monies are stolen, and subsidy is an organised crime.

“I want to give Nigerians hope. I and my running mate will be in charge, they will not find us wanting. We have the physical strength. I will dialogue with every agitator because it will make us a better and united Nigeria.”

Obi also promised to invest more in women, maintaining that women are very industrious and dedicated.

He, therefore, urged Nigerians to vote for a character and capacity they could trust. He stated he was the only candidate to be trusted.
