Philanthropist Donates Ultra Modern Mosque To Community In Sokoto

A Sokoto State Philanthropist, Ahmad Muhammad Lula, has constructed and donated a multi million naira ultra modern mosque to Rungumi community in Sokoto South local government area of the state.

Muhammad said he constructed the mosque to assist his community and to also contribute his quota to the promotion of Islam in Sokoto State.

Not looking for anything

According to him, he is not a politician and not looking for anything from any one, but Almighty Allah.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said the best of mankind is in this world is those whose life benefits others and impact positively.

“I want to be among those that Allah will always help and remember all the time, so I want to also assist my people through this kind of project for the overall development of Islam.

” I am not a politician and not looking for anything from anybody, except Almighty Allah,” he said.

Commissioning the Mosque, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar The III, commended the founder of the “Sayyidina Abubakar (RA) Mosque”.

He urged wealthy individuals to always sacrifice their resources for the good work of Allah by constructing mosques, Islamic school and other charity in the state.

Development of islam

The Sultan who was represented by Dangaladiman Waziri of Sokoto, Dr Ahmed Bello Gidadawa, noted that Sultanate Council would continue to support all meaningful individual ready to contribute to the development of Islam in the state.

Also, the guest Speaker at the opening ceremony of the mosque, Professor Mansur Ibrahim, said the only investment that yield more return to individual in hereafter is the constructing mosque and other related intervention.

Emulate the gesture

He commended founder of the mosque and also urged other meaningful stakeholders to emulate the gesture.

Professor Mansur further called on the benefiting community to take full ownership of the project for their overall development.

The Commissioning was attended by Religious,Traditional leaders, community leaders and among others.
