A state-of-the-art Medicare Health Centre, established by a philanthropist, has been inaugurated in the Daura Local Government Area, significantly enhancing grassroots healthcare.

Speaking in an interview on Sunday, Alhaji Ibrahim Sadauki, the co-founder, shared his motivation for the project.

“I come from this environment. I understand the daily health challenges people face. Building Medicare is my way of giving back,” he said.

According to Sadauki, the facility is fully equipped to provide a wide range of essential health services, including outpatient care, laboratory diagnostics, and emergency response.

The Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya, praised the initiative as an exemplary model of citizen-led development.

“This centre is a testimony that private individuals can play a transformative role in national development. We are witnessing the fruits of compassion, patriotism, and commitment to community health,” he said.

Aminu Jamo, the member of the House of Representatives for Daura, Sandamu, and Mai’adua Federal Constituency, also commended the project and urged other wealthy Nigerians to replicate such efforts in their communities.

“Public-private partnerships like this are crucial in bridging the healthcare gap across Nigeria,” he emphasised.

The project received royal endorsement from the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk, who described it as a symbol of leadership and compassion.

“This health centre is not just a building—it is a legacy of service, a gift to humanity, and a reflection of true leadership. May Allah reward the donor abundantly and grant this facility long-lasting success. Our people will never forget this act of generosity,” he said.

The Medicare Health Centre is fully staffed with qualified medical professionals and will commence operations immediately.
