Plateau State Governor-elect Inaugurates Transition Committee

Ahead of the May 29th 2023, handover, the Plateau State Governor-elect, Caleb Muftwang has inaugurated a Nine Man Transition Committee and  has dissolved the State People’s Democratic Party campaign Council.

Speaking at the event which was held  in Jos, the Plateau State capital, the Governor elect charged the committee members to ensure a smooth transition process that would lay a solid foundation for his Administration to thrive.

“I charge you all to work with utmost level of professionalism and sense of responsibility. This marks a very crucial point in the overall preparation and performance of my Administration.  I therefore urge you to work painstakingly,  cooperatively and in one accord for the success of the Transition process,” he  said.

Mr. Mutfwang thanked the people of Plateau State for trusting him with thier mandate during the just concluded election.

This victory was a collective effort of the people of the State not just the PDP. We say thank you for giving us this responsibility. We take it with every sense of seriousness and by the grace of God this trust would not be betrayed,” he stated.

On the State of the Party, the Governor elect said the PDP in the State must avoid the mistakes of the past and build the future based on the rule of  law.

He says, “We must continue to build the pdp as a focused law abiding party to ensure that the confidence our people have reposed in us is not constrian. We are going to build an all inclusive government devoid of political, ethnic or religious differences.

Earlier in his remarks, the outgoing Director General of the Atiku/Mufywang Campaign Organisation, Latep Dabang thanked the party for the privilege to serve as the DG.

He atttributed the success of the party to God and the youths who produced songs and jingles and conditioned the minds of the people.

“I appeal to the Governor elect to please honour those that worked for the success of the party, “ he added.

The Chairman of the Transition Committee, Gandir Longbin acknowledged that the task before his team was enormous but assured the Governor elect that they have accepted the job and promised to work with highest level of professionalism.
