Plateau State Governor-elect receives Certificate of Return

The Plateau State Governor-elect, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner for Plateau State NorthCentralNigeria, Dr Oliver Agundu while Presenting the Certificate of Return to the Governor and Deputy Governor Elect, and 24 Members Elect of the State Constituencies said INEC in Plateau State is proud to say that they have delivered on their promise to the good people of Plateau State.

Today marks the climax of the 2023 general clection here in Plateau State as all candidates from the Governor-elect, Deputy Governor-Elect to Members-Elcct of Plateau State House of Assembly are certified by INEC as the Winners in the various electoral positions contested in the just concluded election in the State.

“Let me be on record that this event is possible today because of the hard work, sacrifices and commitment of many people but chiefly because of the tireless commitment of our indefatigable INEC staff both tenured and Ad-Hoc who endured all situations to deliver this moment. We salute them and all our partners and collaborators especially the Security Agencies who ensured that we have a secured environment to conduct elections particularly here in Plateau State”

Agundu equally commended all Civil Society Organisations, Political Parties, the Media community and everyone who played a role in the success of the election.

He challenged the Governor-elect, his Deputy and 24 Members to ensure that at all times, the government of Plateau State under their watch is conducted and anchored on transparency and responsibility to the people.

The Governor-elect. Barr. Caleb Mutfwang while responding after receiving his certificate of Return appreciated INEC for conducting transparent election in the State, he also commended Plateau citizens for trusting him, saying he will never betray the mandate given to him to ensure good leadership and good governance.

The certificate presentation has triggered jubilation, excitement and celebration in Jos, the state capital as supporters stormed the streets to express happiness over the authentication of Mutfwang victory.
