Kwara State House of Assembly, the Tenth Legislature under the leadership of the Speaker, Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has been commended for its legislative impacts in the state.
The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) gave the commendation during a courtesy call and presentation of the award of excellence to the Speaker of the House, at the Assembly Complex, in Ilorin.

“We are here for two reasons: Firstly, to pay you a courtesy visit and secondly, to present you an award of excellence through the office of the National Assistant Auditor, PCRC headquarters, in collaboration with the Kwara chapter of the PCRC. We are proud of what you are doing, most especially, in terms of the bills being passed in this Assembly, bills like anti-cultism and anti-kidnapping, and your continuous support to the Nigerian Police Force. This is why we decided to honour you,” PCRC National Assistant Auditor, Alhaji Mohammed Uthman Jagunmo stated.
Alhaji Jagunmo explained that PCRC was created in the year 1984 to assist the police with credible information and logistic support to enhance their service delivery, because the government cannot do it alone.
“We need the support of stakeholders like you. We acknowledge and commend the efforts of the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his valuable support to the security agencies and efforts to keep the state peaceful and safe for all” he added
Alhaji Jagunmo also briefed the Speaker about the 41st anniversary of the committee held at the Police Officers Mess in Ilorin, among other programmes of the PCRC, such as the empowerment of police widows with cash and foodstuffs to support the police.

The Kwara State Chairman and Secretary of the PCRC, Alhaji Adebayo Lawal and Superintendent of Police Toun Ejire Adeyemi, in their separate remarks, appreciated Engr. Danladi-Salihu’s impressive performance and his collaboration with the executive arm of government, especially on security and support for the security agencies, soliciting more support for the committee.
Responding, the Speaker of Engr. Danladi-Salihu, thanked the PCRC for commending the Assembly for its legislative impacts and pledged the continued support and cooperation of the lawmakers to all efforts and endeavours designed to make Kwara remain safe for all.
