The Nigeria Police has presented a cheque worth over 92 million naira to the families of the deceased police officers who died in active service.
The Police Commissioner, CP in Kaduna State, Yekini Ayoku made the presentation on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Alkali Baba Usman under the group life ansurance scheme for the year 2020/2021.
The Commissioner of Police, while presenting the cheques, appreciated the efforts of the Inspector-General of Police for improving the welfare of the officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force.
He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money for their betterment.
One of the beneficiaries who spoke on behalf of all the benefiting families, thanked the Inspector-General of Police for the welfare package and promised to use the money judiciously.
