A Non-government Organisation based in Abuja Nigeria’s capital, Helpline Foundation for the Needy says it has concluded plans to organise a one day Symposium on issues confronting the Nigerian system.
The President of the Foundation, Dr. Jumai Ahmadu, made this known while briefing journalists in Abuja Nigeria’s capital.
Dr. Ahmadu noted that the 2021 Maiden Edition powered by Helpline Foundation for the Needy Abuja will X-ray the potential Capacity Development on Nigerians, the Post COVID-19 economic recovery process with the theme: “Human Capital Development: a Prerequisite for National Development in Nigeria’s Post COVID-19 Economic Recovery”
Ahmadu who noted that the symposium which is slated for 12th October, 2021 at the ICC Exhibition Pavilion, in Abuja, will centre its panel discussion on the topic “Capacity Development: a Basic tool for Economic Recovery in Nigeria’s Post COVID-19 Era.”
According to her, “We know how frequently the ‘National Cake’ feature in our national discourse. We coined the phrase National Cake, from confectioners to reduce our national wealth to its practical purposes.
Most people who have either written or formulated policies for Nigeria have placed emphasis on distribution or what we refer to as “the sharing of the national cake,” with less emphasis on how the cake is baked.
“Over the past 60 years, the dwindling nature of Nigeria’s economic growth is a mystery given the abundant resources human and natural, in Nigeria”
She further disclosed that the programme will provide the opportunity for the unveiling of some major books which includes: “BREAK THE BOX, BE YOUR BOSS Eneconomics Principles for the Making of a Master-Achiever’, and ‘101 + 10 Success Capsules’ authored by Enejoh James a youth with innovations and ideas that can influence generations of youths for self-reliance and moral values”.
The president further stated that the books will among other benefits, enable readers to Learn, understand, and explore basic principles to meet up the demands of becoming successful in mostly developing countries.
“Also written in the book is the Eneconomics hypothesis for sustainable economic growth of developing countries“, she said.
She therefore, enjoined Nigerians to join in the conversation in order to discuss issues bordering around sustainable economic development in Nigeria.
