POWA donates relief materials to Kogi state flood victims

The Police officers wives Association, POWA has distributed N25 million worth of relief materials to flood victims in Kogi state.

The relief materials were handed over to the the victims by the President of the association, and wife of Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Hajia Hajara Alkali Baba.

The victims were given the privilege of nominating their representative who received the items on their behalf to prevent diversion of the relief materials, which sometimes happens to the victims of natural disasters.

Hajia Alkali Baba urged the leaders who received the materials on behalf of other displaced persons to share the items with fear of God, and be just without denying any member.

Items donated include assorted food, mattresses, clothing among others.
