Everton secured another season in the Premier League after a 1-0 victory against Bournemouth, while Leicester City’s 2-1 win over West Ham United wasn’t enough to keep them up alongside Leeds United, who were relegated after losing 4-1 to Tottenham Hotspur.

Another dramatic Premier League finale saw 33 goals scored across 10 games.

Midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure’s winner fired Everton to a vital 1-0 victory over Bournemouth at Goodison Park, meaning there was nothing their relegation rivals could do to avoid the drop.

Leicester City Relegated

Leicester, who beat West Ham 2-1, were on course to stay up at the halfway stage of the final-day fixtures after Harvey Barnes’ goal lifted the Foxes out of the bottom three.

However, Doucoure’s strike put Everton ahead with two (2) points, meaning their hopes of staying up grew slimmer.

The 2015/2016 Premier League champions Leicester City, have now been relegated from England’s top flight on the final day of the season.

Leeds United

Leeds United’s unlikely survival bid failed to get off the ground at Elland Road as England striker Harry Kane scored twice to inspire Tottenham Hotspur to a 4-1 victory.

The result means Leeds United finished in 19th place on the Premier League table, with 31 points from 38 games.

Leicester City, and Leeds United join Southampton in next season’s Championship after the Saints’ 11-year spell in the top-flight ended following defeat to Fulham on May 13th.
