The Personal Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Constituency Affairs, Omotayo Kareem, has reaffirmed the president’s dedication to establishing a foundation framework for national development.
Omotayo stated this at a Town Hall meeting with critical stakeholders in Jos the Plateau State Capital, North Central Nigeria.
The meeting drew critical stakeholders from multiple sectors, such as Members of the Plateau Youth Council, Women in Agriculture, the Nigerian Labour Congress, the National Union of Road Transport Workers, and Traditional Institutions alongside groups and Associations from Plateau State.
Omotayo noted that the meeting aligned with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to uplift citizens’ livelihoods across the nation with a focus on improving access to quality education and healthcare, while also acknowledging Plateau State’s resilience and cultural heritage.
She said the president’s vision had taken her around the country to collate challenges confronting the people in all constituencies, assuring that no constituency was left behind.
“As the President’s Personal Assistant on Constituency Affairs, my role is to ensure that the concerns and needs of the people of Plateau State are addressed, and that is why I am here. Mr President is working to upgrade the State Infrastructure. He is implementing programs to support small businesses to create Job opportunities.
“Improving access to healthcare and other initiatives. We will work closely with the state government, traditional leaders, and other stakeholders to promote peace, stability, and development and ensure your State reaches its full potential.
“Be rest assured your voice will be heard at the National and when next we are coming to Plateau, we will be bringing massive empowerment programs as President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is taking bold steps to better the Nation,” Omotayo echoed.
She noted several key reforms under President Tinubu’s leadership, including the removal of fuel subsidies, exchange rate unification, and a review of the Electricity Act.
She urged Plateau citizens to be patient and trust these reforms even as they come together to build Nigeria.
The Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, represented by Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development Musa Ashoms, reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving citizens’ welfare.
He highlighted ongoing efforts to revamp agriculture, transportation, and other critical sectors within the state.
Participants at the Town Hall meeting with critical Stakeholders called on the Federal Government to place more emphasis on Insecurity, Agriculture, Infrastructural development, youth empowerment and the economy among others.
