The Personal Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Constituency Affairs, Omotayo Kareem, has restated the president’s commitment to sustainable grassroots development in Nigeria, saying the vision is dear to his heart.

Omotayo said this on Monday, during a Town Hall meeting with critical stakeholders of Osun State in Osogbo, the state capital.

The presidential aide, who admitted that President Tinubu recognized the unique challenges confronting the state, promised that the problems would be addressed with the seriousness they deserve.

“I want to assure you that Mr. President is committed to working tirelessly to address the issues that matter most to you all.

“We recognize the unique challenges facing Osun state, from infrastructure development to economic empowerment.

“Mr. President’s goal is to create a brighter future for the good people of Osun state, where every citizen has access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities,” Omotayo said.

She explained that President Tinubu is deliberate about bridging the infrastructural gap in all constituencies across Nigeria, hence the creation of her office.

She said the president’s vision had taken her around the country to collate challenges confronting the people in all constituencies, assuring that no constituency was left behind.

Omotayo also assured that President Tinubu was committed to working with local stakeholders, community leaders, and civil society organizations nationwide to realize his vision.

“We will cultivate trust by being transparent, responsive, and accountable to your needs. We will address real-world challenges and have a tangible impact on your lives,” she said.

The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, in his remarks, lauded President Tinubu for the initiative and for sending an envoy to interact with the people of Osun State.

The Governor, represented by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, said only a strong partnership between the federal government and states could hasten the development of the country.

“This event is a signal that Mr. President really values collective leadership for the delivery of democratic dividends in Nigeria. We commend the President for sending his envoy to interact with Osun people.

“What is happening today is therefore in line with our philosophy and perspectives. We see this avenue as a productive way to drive national development,” the Governor said.

Governor Adeleke also expressed support for the president’s reforms aimed at rebuilding the national economy and called for more collaboration between the federal government and Osun state in the future.

“Our policy from the beginning is that of partnership and collaboration with the centre without political colouration. We believe development transcends political division.

“Our people support the president’s reform efforts. The president has our support in the drive to rebuild the national economy,” the Governor asserted.

Adeleke also restated his commitment to the federal-state partnership, urging the federal government to see to the completion of abandoned federal roads across the state.

He thanked President Tinubu for the palliatives sent to the state and promised to support other efforts of the president to lift more people out of poverty.
