President Muhammadu Buhari is today marking his 78th birthday.
The Nigerian leader was born in Daura, Katsina State on 17th December, 1942 to the family of Adamu and Zulaihat.
This is the sixth birthday he is celebrating as Nigeria’s President, having assumed office on 29th May, 2015.
He is presently at his hometown-Daura on a private visit.
Since assuming office, the President has remained dogged in fighting corruption in a bid to redeem the image of the country and make life better for its citizens.
The President’s birthday is however being marked quietly, possibly in line with the mood of the nation, following last Friday’s abduction of 333 boys form Government Science Secondary School Kankara, Katsina State.
17 of the boys had since escaped form their abductors but the military has promised to rescue the remaining 316 alive.
