President Bola Tinubu has appointed the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Yahaya, as Renewed Hope Ambassador and Secretary for Party Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation.

The appointment was conveyed in a letter signed by the President, directing Governor Yahaya to assume his new responsibilities with immediate effect.

In the correspondence, President Tinubu outlined the scope of the assignment, urging the governor to work closely with the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly the National Chairman, to promote harmony, inclusiveness, and effective coordination across all tiers of the party’s outreach and mobilisation structure.

According to the President, Governor Yahaya is expected to galvanise support and ensure the effective communication of the party’s programmes, policies, achievements and milestones, with the aim of strengthening public confidence in the APC and reinforcing the Renewed Hope message nationwide.

The letter further noted that the primary objective of the appointment is to ensure Nigerians are well informed, actively engaged, and fully mobilised to support the APC and its candidates at all levels, as part of a broader strategy towards national acceptance and electoral success in the 2027 general election.

“Preparation is critical to achieving this objective, and your leadership will be central to guiding the process strategically and effectively,” President Tinubu stated.
