President Tinubu Appoints Pioneer Board Members For Northwest Commission

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Pioneer Board Members for the Northwest Development Commisison (NWDC).
The approval for the appointments was made known on Saturday in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga.
President Tinubu approved the nomination of Ambassador Haruna Ginsau from Jigawa State to serve as the Chairman of the Board while Professor Abdullahi Shehu Ma’aji (Kano) will serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Commission.
Other members of the board are: Dr. Yahaya Umar Namahe (Sokoto), Hon. Aminu Suleiman (Kebbi), Sen. Tijani Yahaya Kaura (Zamfara),Hon. Abdulkadir S. Usman (Kaduna).
The president also approved the appointment of Engr. Muhammad Ali Wudil (Kano), Shamsu Sule (Katsina), and Nasidi Ali (Jigawa) to serve as members of the board.
The nominated board members are expected to contribute their wealth of experience and expertise to the Commission’s mandate of developing the North-West region.
It would be recalled that President Tinubu signed the North West Development Commission Bill into law on 24 July, marking a crucial milestone in the Commission’s establishment.
The NWDC will focus on facilitating significant growth, economic empowerment, and social development of the region.
Mr. Onanuga further assured of President Tinubu’s commitment to support the NWDC in its mission to bring sustainable development to the North West region of Nigeria.
