President Tinubu Approves Changes In Portfolios Of Ministers Designate

President Bola Tinubu has approved some minor changes in the portfolios assigned to some Ministers Designate.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, disclosed this in a statement he issued on Sunday night.

He gave details of the changes as follows:

President Bola Tinubu has approved the redeployment of Engr. Abubakar Momoh from the Ministry of Youth to the Ministry of Niger Delta Development.

“The Ministry of Youth is to be re-assigned to a Minister-Designate soon.

“The Ministers-Designate allocated to the Ministries of Transportation, Interior, and Marine & Blue Economy have been reshuffled as follows:

(A) Adegboyega Oyetola is redeployed as the Minister of Marine & Blue Economy

(B) Bunmi Tunji-Ojo is redeployed as the Minister of Interior

(C) Sa’idu Alkali is redeployed as the Minister of Transportation.

President Tinubu to swear in Ministers-Designate on Monday

Ngelale added that the Ministry of Petroleum Resources now has two Ministers.

Furthermore, both Ministers of State in the Oil & Gas sector are now domiciled in the Ministry of Petroleum Resources with the following designations:

(i) Heineken Lokpobiri is the Minister of State (Oil), Petroleum Resources

(ii) Ekperipe Ekpo is the Minister of State (Gas), Petroleum Resources

The President approves the renaming of the Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management as the Ministry of Environment.”

The Special Adviser said all changes will come into effect immediately.

The Ministers Designate will be sworn-in on Monday, August 21 at the State House, Abuja.
