President Tinubu calls for joint efforts against terrorism

Nigeria’s Leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on State governments and all Nigerians to join hands with him to holistically address Terrorism and Poverty in the country.

He made the call on Wednesday at the reception held for him by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House in Marina, Lagos State, South-west Nigeria.

According to him, collaborative efforts is needed to achieve the desired society Nigerians desires.

The President also expressed optimism that the economic hardship presently faced by Nigerians will soon be phased out following the economic policies put in place.

He assured citizens that his financial team are working tirelessly to give Nigerians the best economy and open up more opportunities for to make the country a better place.

The President assured traditional rulers that culture and traditions will not be abandoned but would be included in the fight against poverty in the land.

More Schools In Local Government 

The President further charged all Local Government to build more schools and ensure maximum enrollment of children in the schools to further help curb idleness as more jobs would be created.

He however commended Governor Sanwo-Olu and his deputy for holding forth the affairs of Lagos State and making it remain the center of excellence in the country

Akeredolu’s Death

The President also gave brief remarks on the death of Governors Rotimi Akeredolu who until his death at early hours of Wednesday battled with Leukemia cancer.

The host Governor, Sanwo-Olu further call for a minute silence to be observed in honor of late Ondo State governor.

Sanwo-Olu added that there cannot be a better time for Lagos residents to celebrate the President than now with his presence in Lagos.

Speaker, State House of Representatives Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa who also commended the President for his leadership and exemplary roles urged the President Tinubu to look into the implementation of legislative independence.

Also at the reception held for the President, the Association of Local Government of Nigeria called on President Tinubu to put in place community policy for effective tackling of the security challenges in the country.
