President Tinubu Celebrates Elder Stateman, Tanko Yakasai at 99

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid special tribute to elder statesman and politician, Alhaji Tanko Yakasai, on the occasion of the remarkable milestone of his 99 years birthday.

In his tribute, President Tinubu acknowledged the significant contributions of Alhaji Yakasai to the development of Northern Nigeria and the nation as a whole.

Congratulating Pa Yakasai on the remarkable milestone, President Tinubu lauded his dedication to public service and advocacy for the rights of citizens.

In a statement issued by the Presidential Spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu expressed gratitude to Alhaji Yakasai, a founding member of the Arewa Consultative Forum, for his steadfast support during the recent elections and for believing in his vision for a united and prosperous Nigeria.

The President assured Alhaji Yakasai that he would remain committed to serving the Nigerian people and not disappoint the trust placed in him.

“As a human rights activist and former Parliamentary Liaison Officer to President Shehu Shagari during the Second Republic, Pa Yakasai’s insightful critiques and advice have played a pivotal role in shaping government policies over the years.”

President Tinubu offered prayers for continued good health and longevity for Alhaji Yakasai and eagerly anticipates the celebration of his centennial birthday next year.
