President Bola Tinubu has praised Nigerian music icon, Mr. Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, for his patriotism and commitment to promoting peace, unity, and good governance in the country.
In a congratulatory message issued by his spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, to mark the artiste’s 50th birthday, the President acknowledged Idibia’s remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
President Tinubu described 2Baba as ‘a resilient and creative talent’ whose indomitable spirit has continued to inspire generations of Nigerians.
He said; “For more than 20 years, 2Baba has serenaded us with soulful melodies, inspired countless people, and carried the Nigerian flag with pride across the world. His legendary song, African Queen, remains an evergreen classic that showcased the beauty of African music to the world, placing Nigeria at the heart of the global entertainment map.”
President Tinubu prays that the years ahead will bring the music icon greater joy, fulfilment, and good health.
Innocent Ujah Idibia, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, record producer and philanthropist known for his solo debut album, Face 2 Face (2004).
The African Queen Crooner, innocent Idibia is regarded as one of the “most influential” and notable Afrobeats artists of all time following his contributions to Nigerian pop music in the 2000s.
