President Tinubu Celebrates Nigeria’s 2024 Grammy Award Nominees

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Nigeria’s musical talents nominated for the 2024 Grammy Awards, commending their exceptional fidelity to art and discipline in the pursuit of excellence.
Felicitating the Nigerian artists, Burna Boy, Davido, Olamide,Tems ,Asake and Ayra Starr, President Tinubu applauded the superstars saying they have put Nigeria on the chart of cultural command through their artistry performances.
In a statement signed by Ajuri Ngelale, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, President Tinubu noted that the artists have earned Nigeria power on the world music stage.
He said; “Our superstars nominated for the Grammy Awards are all winners. I am proud of their exploits. They represent that Nigerian ideal; the courage to strive and succeed against all odds and the hope to stay true to purpose. I congratulate and thank them for being exemplary envoys of Nigeria.”
Six artistes of Nigerian descent – David Adeleke, aka, Davido; Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy; Ahmed Ololade, aka Asake; Olamide Adedeji, aka Baddo; and Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, aka Ayra Starr; all lost out of the Grammy in their combined 10 nominations across different award categories.q
Though a poor outing for the Nigerian artistes, none of the artists bagged an award at the 66th Grammy Awards ceremony held at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles., United States on Sunday.
