President Bola Tinubu has joined family, friends and well-wishers in celebrating the 90th birthday of an industrialist, philanthropist and founder of the Doyin Group of companies, Prince Samuel Adedoyin.
In a congratulatory letter addressed to the celebrant, President Tinubu described Baba Adedoyin as a pillar of resilience and patriotism who has built successful enterprises that significantly contribute to the nation’s economy.
The President hailed Prince Adedoyin as a national icon whose visionary leadership and unwavering discipline have left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s manufacturing sector.
“Today, I join family, friends, and well-wishers across the country in celebrating Prince Samuel Adedoyin, an extraordinary industrialist, philanthropist, and founder of the Doyin Group of Companies, on his 90th birthday.
“Prince Adedoyin, a national icon with decades of footprints in the manufacturing sector of our national economy, is a patriarch of uncommon vision, discipline, and generosity,” the President said.
Beyond his business success, the President emphasised Prince Adedoyin’s generosity and commitment to philanthropy, especially his efforts in supporting vulnerable communities, education, and local development.
Reflecting on Baba Adedoyin’s inspiring journey from a determined teenager relocating from Agbamu, Kwara State to Lagos to becoming a respected figure in the city’s social and economic life, the President lauded the action as a classic Lagos success story.
According to the Nigrian leader, “Baba Adedoyin is a classic example of a Lagos success story. He came to Lagos as a teenager from Agbamu, Kwara State, guided only by faith, determination, and a strong will to succeed. For over seven decades in Lagos, he has remained a respectable part of the state’s social and economic fabric. His love and affection for his native Agbamu have never waned, either.
I have always enjoyed a close, pleasant and warm personal relationship with Baba Adedoyin. I admire his strength of character and fortitude in the face of adversity and personal loss.
“As Baba Adedoyin marks this remarkable milestone, I celebrate his purposeful and impactful life as a cherished leader whose wisdom continues to enrich our society. I pray that the Almighty grants him continued grace, strength, peace, and joy in the years ahead.
The President also applauded his personal relationship with Baba Adedoyin, applauding his character and fortitude through challenges.
