President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commissioned the Southern Parkway, the S8/S9, Christian Centre to Ring Road 1, in the Federal Capital Territory.
Commissioning the road formerly known as, Southern Parkway, President Tinubu said the completion of the road underscores his administration’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
The President affirmed that his government will sustain infrastructure as the enabler of economic development and prosperity.
“We recognise the fact that infrastructure is an enabler of economic development and prosperity. We believe we are going to achieve all of that,” the president said.

The Nigerian Leader commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for completing the road, saying it symbolises the collective aspirations for connectivity of Nigeria through seamless and efficient transport corridors.
The 5.4 kilometres roadway will ease traffic congestion, evacuate traffic from the city centre, reduce delays and increase manhours.

Earlier, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesome Wike, named the just completed Southern Parkway from Christian Centre to Ring Road One, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way.
